Miss Saigon

Ho Chi Min (Saigon) has been pleasently lovely. With a population of 7 million, our wake-up call was a rural one with a chorus of roosters wailing at 5:30 am. Since we are so screwed up with the time change, it didn't really phase us.

The weather is hot...blistering hot. After a morning of dodging the motorbike filled streets, we made our way to the War Remnants Museum - a brutal display of the Vietnam War. If you ever get here - it is a must on the tourist track.

Filled wih Pho (pronounced Pha), a Vietnames soup consisting of rice noodle, beef, chicken, lime juice, basil and red pepper paste - and a couple of Tiger brews, obviously the beer of choice here - we paid our 4.00 bucks (for both of us) and high-tailed it back to the hotel to assemble the bikes. I should say, Rob assembled the bikes.

Our next post will be from the Mekong Delta, the rice bowl of Vietnam where floating markets await.

We will be on the road tomorrow. Distance...an easy 75km.
